Mineral Morion: magical and healing properties, who should wear it

Historical reference

Notoriety did not always follow Morion. Initially, it was used by artisans as a jewelry and ornamental stone:

  • Among the artifacts found during excavations of Tutankhamun's tomb were glasses made from the thinnest morion plates equipped with bronze temples. Scientists suggest that they served to protect the pharaoh's eyes from the scorching rays of the sun.
  • In ancient Rome, morion was used to make seals.
  • Chinese masters in the 12th century. They made lenses for glasses and bottles for storing medicines from the mineral.
  • During the Middle Ages, psychics and adherents of the occult and esotericism became interested in the powerful energy of black crystal. Alchemists, who considered morion to be one of the probable components of the philosopher's stone, believed that with the successful selection of the right spells, the creative forces hidden in it could be activated.
  • In Europe in the second half of the 19th century, due to the fashion for gothic and decadence, products made of sparkling black crystals gained extraordinary popularity among representatives of high society. Morion inlays with death symbols engraved on their surface adorned rings, earrings, pendants and brooches, while bracelets and strings of shiny black beads wrapped around the necks, wrists and ankles of fashionistas and fashionistas of those times. Large, skillfully cut crystals were used as knobs for canes carved from ebony.
  • In Russia, they learned about the mysterious black stone, which is an indispensable companion of topazes and aquamarines, at the end of the 18th century, after the discovery of the Ural deposits. Princess Dashkova, who then headed the Russian Academy of Sciences, was amazed by the beauty of the mineral and in 1787, on her orders, a druse of black quartz strewn with small crystals of rock crystal was delivered from Yekaterinburg, which became an exhibit in the mineralogical cabinet.
  • Morion is used by the people of India and Tibet to achieve nirvana. Followers of Buddhism call morion the stone of Buddha, since, according to legend, it was from it that the Cup he received as a gift from the Guardians was made.
  • In the 20th century Morion found application in radio engineering: its crystals, used as piezoelements, made it possible to stabilize radio waves.

Story

The official name of this spectacular black quartz is "morion" - comes from the Latin morrosus (translated as "gloomy, gloomy") and mormorion ("black crystal").

This mineral had other names:

  • In the works of Pliny it is found under the name “momorion”, and its Indian name is also mentioned there - “pramnion”.
  • This stone is sometimes called a black diamond. But it should not be confused with a real black diamond, which is made of carbon.
  • Residents of the Urals called the mineral “gypsy” or “smolyak” for its specific shine and characteristic shape.

The first products made from morion that archaeologists found in the tombs of Thebes were the sunglasses of the pharaohs. They were very thin stone plates with bronze arches.

The Chinese made medicine bottles from this mineral, and the Sumerians and ancient Romans made seals.

Indians and Tibetans use morion to achieve nirvana. Buddhists call it the Buddha Stone. According to legend, the Cup was made from it, which was given to Buddha by the Guardians.

In the Arab East, since the 16th century, morion began to be valued as a jewelry stone. It was fired in kilns installed at mining sites.

Europe and Russia were also familiar with this stone.

In the Middle Ages, alchemists used it in their search for the philosopher's stone.

In Russia, they became acquainted with this mineral after the discovery of its deposits in the Urals. In 1787, by order of Princess Dashkova, who headed the Russian Academy of Sciences, a druse of morion was delivered to St. Petersburg. Since that time, Russian scientists began to study this mineral.

Folk legends about Morion are always associated with dark forces. Such is the Russian fairy tale about Morena and Koshchei the Immortal. Morena was a Heavenly Maiden. But she was seduced by Koshchei’s gold and went into his dark kingdom. He gave Morena a ring with morion, thanks to which the Heavenly Maiden turned into a dark witch and became immortal.

The Ural masters liberated the mineral from its reputation as a container of dark forces. They removed the black color from it by placing a stone in the dough. When the bread was ready, the transformed morion was taken out of it. The mineral became transparent golden, emitting good energy.

In the second half of the 19th century, there was a fashion for gothic and decadent in Europe, so black sparkling crystals became very popular. Fashionistas and fashionistas of that time wore bracelets and strings of black beads on their wrists and ankles. Pendants, rings, brooches, and earrings had morion inserts with engraved symbols of death. Ebony canes were decorated with knobs made of large faceted crystals of this mineral.

In the 20th century, scientists became interested in it. The stone began to be used in the manufacture of parts for the radio engineering industry. It was used as a piezoquartz, stabilizing radio waves.

Today, morion is a well-known jewelry and ornamental stone.

Place of Birth

The mineral morion crystallized over millions of years in places of volcanic eruptions. Gem deposits are found in many countries on all continents.

It is supplied to the market in industrial quantities by:

  • Ukraine (Volyn region);
  • Russian Federation (Ural);
  • Kazakhstan;
  • Brazil;
  • USA;
  • Canada;
  • Switzerland;
  • South African Republic;
  • Scotland;
  • Madagascar;
  • Egypt.

Morion crystals are interesting because they can reach enormous sizes. Often the entire deposit, in fact, consists of one single stone. The record-breaking minerals in terms of mass are Kazakh; their single crystals can weigh up to 70 tons. In second place are specimens from Ukraine weighing more than 10 tons.

Physical and chemical properties

Morion is a heterogeneous smoky mineral. There are options for different arrangement of layers:

  1. The core is milky quartz.
  2. The shell is transparent rock crystal.
  3. Next comes smoky quartz.
  4. Behind him is Citrine.
  5. The final layer is Morion.

The stone has the following properties:

It has a crystalline structure represented by hexagonal prisms or triangular pyramids. The mineral is dissolved by hydrofluoric acid.

Properties and uses of stone

Morion quartz is used for making jewelry, as well as for technical purposes, for example, as a primer for an aquarium. Its advantages are that it is small, granular and easy to clean.

Physical properties

Morion is a polymorphic modification of silicon dioxide, belongs to the group of glass-forming oxides (can be the main component of glass). Hardness on the Mohs scale (a ten-point scale created to evaluate the hardness of materials) is 7 points, density coefficient is 2.6 g/cm3.

When heated to 300 degrees, the gem becomes yellow, and when exposed to higher temperatures, it loses its color and becomes colorless. If it is exposed to radioactive radiation (a minimal dose is enough), the color will be restored.

Magic properties

Morion is a protective stone that transforms negative energy directed at its owner into positive energy. The mineral allows you to achieve success and prosperity, improves creativity, and relieves stress. In addition, the stone helps its owners overcome the grief of loss after the death of loved ones.

Amulets and talismans are often made from it. For women these are earrings, and for men - rings.

When using jewelry as a talisman, you should follow the following rules:

  • A person should only have one piece of jewelry with a gem;
  • it cannot be given into the hands of strangers, or told that this particular decoration is a talisman;
  • Once a week, rinse the stone under running water, washing away negative energy.

If the morion has accumulated a lot of negative energy, it will be lost or split, thereby protecting its owner.

For women named Alla, Larisa, men, Egor and Mikhail, the gem will help unlock creative potential and cope with negative emotions.

Colors and varieties

Druze of Morion crystals
The color range of Morion is not very diverse. Low-transparent crystals of black, dark brown or black-brown color are mined.

But jewelers have learned to change the color of the stone, and quite dramatically. Thus, when heated to 300–320°C, the mineral acquires a yellow or completely transparent color. In the first case, it can be confused with the precious yellow topaz or citrine, widely used in the jewelry industry.

Heating to 400°C completely discolors the mineral, turning it into an analogue of rock crystal. The original color can only be restored through radiation. In this case, the geological value is lost, but products with such stones look quite impressive, since when rotated the stones acquire a purple or greenish tint.

Description and physical properties

Morion is an ornamental stone; it is a representative of quartz rocks. Their other representatives are rock crystal, citrine, smoky quartz (rauchtopaz). The color of morion varies from brown to deep black. This color of quartz is quite rare, as it is caused by the impact of natural radiation on the mineral. Moreover, the stone itself is not radioactive and does not pose any harm to humans.

The mineral itself is very dense and absorbs sunlight, and only on very thin chips can it be almost colorless. This characteristic is used to determine the authenticity of a stone. If you look through it into the light, then nothing will be visible through the fake, but the natural one will be a little transparent.

Medicinal properties

The crystal, which has a powerful magical effect, contains useful meaning for humans. Anyone who wants to get rid of an illness must believe in healing, because a healing stone can protect. Modern healers believe that it is endowed with medicinal properties:

  1. Analgesic effect.
  2. Relieving insomnia.
  3. Improves blood circulation.
  4. Providing assistance after stroke and heart attack.
  5. Cleansing effect.
  6. Eliminating cravings for drugs, gambling, and alcohol.

The stone can influence the human soul. When worn regularly, the mood improves, so the crystal is needed by people whose soul needs healing:

  • from negative energy;
  • to relieve tension;
  • restoration of strength after the loss of loved ones;
  • transforming negativity into a positive state (attacks of anger, jealousy, fear).

Traditional healers recommend handling the crystal carefully. The stone has an unusual side effect: patients' sleep becomes deeper and longer. But it does not bring rest.

Important!

Note! The crystal has the ability to absorb negative manifestations. Negative energy can have a detrimental effect on a person. To prevent this from happening, wash it regularly in holy or running water.

Magical properties of morion

Druse of Morion ring “The Secret of Life”
The powerful energy of Morion attracts people who are actively involved in magic and are convinced that its black crystals:

  • Able to open channels through which information about the deceased can be obtained;
  • They have incredible magical powers that influence the owner;
  • They can take revenge on their owner and drive him crazy;
  • During spiritualistic seances they play the role of a bridge connecting the world of the dead and the world of the living and making it possible to communicate with the souls of the departed.

Magical properties of morion:

  1. They allow it not only to protect its owner from the effects of negative energy (damage, the evil eye and energy vampirism), but also to process it, transforming it into positive.
  2. They help their purposeful owner achieve well-being in the fastest way, since the beneficial influence of the stone forces him to focus on truly important goals, without wasting himself on trifles.
  3. They enable creative individuals to fully realize their potential, reach the heights of professionalism, discover new talents and achieve success in the most daring creative experiments.

However, only those who intend to use their talents for the benefit of other people will receive the support of a gem.

Important!

The conscious intention to harm someone will result in the crystal turning the attacker's negativity against him.

That is why - contrary to prevailing stereotypes - Morion crystals are never used in black magic sessions.

Talismans, amulets, amulets

Morion is ideal for making amulets, talismans and amulets that can:

  1. Protect the owner from damage and the evil eye.
  2. Eliminate the effects of depression and stress.
  3. To develop organizational skills in the owner of the stone and support his desire for creativity.
  4. Make it easier for its owner to achieve his goals (financial well-being, rapid career growth, universal recognition).
  5. Smooth out the pain of losing loved ones.

Morion, used as a talisman or talisman, should be set in silver or platinum, since only they can normalize its powerful energy.

Any warm-colored metals (all types of gold, bronze, red copper), which enhance and multiply the magical effect of the stone, can provoke an unexpected effect.

When using morion as an amulet or talisman, the following rules must be observed:

  • Once chosen, do not change again;
  • Do not give into the hands of strangers;
  • Don't tell anyone about the stone;
  • Regularly cleanse the gem from negative energy absorbed by the stone from the surrounding space, holding it under running water;
  • Do not be upset when the stone cracks or is lost, as these events indicate that the magical item has completed its mission.

Scope of application

Black morion is used in various service sectors and scientific industries. In the 20th century, morion began to be used not only as a jewelry and ornamental stone, but also in radio electronics.

Morion is also used in jewelry and stone cutting. Jewelers often frame black shiny pieces with silver or platinum. Stone cutters make balls, decorative figures, and inlays from the mineral.

What Morion stone actually is and how it differs from rauchtopaz and smoky quartz

This article is a cry from the heart and the result of an unfair accusation on the part of one of my clients. It was also written with the aim of revealing the essence of the differences between dark quartz, which are smoky quartz, morion and rauchtopaz.

I have been studying and working with stones and minerals for more than 5 years and during this time I have well studied the various nuances of identifying a particular stone. By nature, I am an honest person and never deceive anyone; I always do my work efficiently. The entire assortment of my store is presented in real photographs; there have never been any problems or negativity in relations with clients and customers.

However, not long ago I was faced with the fact that I received a negative review with a reproach that I was allegedly deceiving people and sending something other than what is in the photo. I was very disappointed to read such an unfair review. I sent the client a request for reconciliation, but never received a response. This unpleasant event happened in September of this year.

As a result, I decided to respond to her negative comment with this article, as well as share my experience with other craftsmen and buyers and talk about what smoky quartz, rauchtopaz and morion actually have in common, and what distinguishes them. After all, these three types of minerals are confused much more often than others. I hope that this article will be useful to at least someone.

Dear customer who bought Morion from me. First of all, we would like to thank you for your feedback. In this situation, we understand your dissatisfaction. But we would like to clarify the situation in order to resolve the misunderstanding between us. We will try to explain in detail to avoid similar situations in the future. The mineral that you purchased is not smoky quartz at all, it is the real Morion. However, like smoky quartz, it also belongs to the quartz family.

If we delve deeper into the meaning of minerals and their description, we would like to cite, as explanations and confirmation, several generally accepted and officially recorded definitions of Morion. The first and most frequently encountered one can be found on many Internet sites.

1) Morion (abbreviated mormorion - brown rock crystal) - dark brown, semi-black or black (sometimes with gaps or semi-transparent) quartz, transparent in thin fragments. The color is due to a defect-hole paramagnetic center formed when the Si4+ ion is replaced by an Al3+ ion with compensation of the excess charge by Na++, Li+ ions or protons located in the interstices. The presence of “holes” changes the structure of electronic levels in the crystal, but in itself does not determine the color of the mineral. The smoky color is unstable, and at a temperature of 300-320 ° C it completely disappears. The color of the morion is due to the fact that in addition to the existing Al centers, as in smoky quartz, there are two more hole and two electron centers associated with various oxygen and silicon vacancies and divacancies. For morion crystals from cavities of granite pegmatites of a number of deposits, gradual transitions from morion itself to smoky quartz (old rauchtopaz) and even to golden citrine (dark inside with lighter zones outside) are common.

The stone cutters of the Urals called morion black crystal for its dark color, as well as “smolyak” and “gypsy”. When heated to 300-400°C, it becomes discolored, and the color can be restored by irradiation with X-rays.

If we turn to classic textbooks on mineralogy, we can find the following definitions of morion:

1) Betekhtin A.G., “Course of Mineralogy”, 1951

P.81

“Allochromatism [Allos (Greek) - outsider]. There are many examples where the same mineral can be painted in different colors and shades. Thus, quartz, usually found in the form of colorless, often completely transparent crystals (rock crystal), can be painted in a beautiful purple color (amethyst), pink, yellow-brown (from iron oxides), golden (citrine), gray or smoky (rauchtopaz ), thick black (morion), finally into a milky white color.” Similarly, rock salt - halite - can be white, gray, yellow, brown, pink and sometimes blue.

In most cases, the color in such minerals is associated with extraneous finely dispersed mechanical impurities, colored in one color or another by chromophores (color carriers). These coloring substances can be represented by both inorganic and organic compounds. Often a completely insignificant amount of them is enough to cause intense coloring of colorless minerals, and the color depends not only on the quantity, but also on the degree of dispersion of these substances.

Such colors, independent of the chemical nature of the mineral itself, are called allochromatic (i.e., alien to the minerals themselves). Minerals colored in this way are nothing more than crystallosols.”

S.360

“The color of quartz can vary greatly, but colorless, milky white and gray colors are common. Transparent or translucent beautifully colored varieties have special names: 1) rock crystal - colorless water-transparent crystals; 2) amethyst - purple varieties; 3) rauchtopaz - smoky transparent varieties, painted in grayish or brownish tones; 4) morion - quartz crystals, painted black; 5) citrine - golden yellow or lemon yellow crystals. Rose quartz, which does not have a special name, is colored, in all likelihood, by an admixture of Ti.

In addition to the listed transparent varieties of quartz, clearly allochromatically colored quartz crystals are observed due to inclusions of foreign minerals, which also have their own names: prazem - greenish quartz with inclusions of green actinolite needles: aventurine - yellowish or brownish-red quartz with a shimmering tint due to tiny inclusions of mica, iron mica Fe2O3, etc.

The milky-white color of quartz masses, which is widespread in hydrothermal deposits, in some cases is due to the content in them of a large amount of microscopic liquids and gases. Almost always in liquid inclusions there is a mobile gas bubble, by which the liquid, and sometimes even NaCl crystals, are easily recognized (Fig. 190). When heated at a certain temperature, these crystals dissolve, then the gas bubbles disappear and a homogeneous liquid phase is formed. When cooled, it becomes heterogeneous again. In this way, it is possible to approximately establish at what temperature the capture of these liquid phases could occur during the crystallization of quartz. In other cases, the milky white color of quartz crystals is due to severe fracturing that arose during dynamic impacts (similar to how completely transparent ice becomes milky white when hit with a hammer in a damaged area).

Chalcedony, more often than crystalline quartz, is painted in a variety of colors and shades: milky gray, bluish-black (sapphirine), yellow, red, orange (carnelian), brown, brown (sarder), green (plasma), apple green from nickel compounds (chrysoprase), green with red spots (heliotrope), etc. Agates or onyxes are often composed of thin, differently colored concentric-zonal or plane-parallel layers of chalcedony; they can have a wide variety of shade combinations: black and white (Arabic onyx), brown with white (sardonyx), red with white (carneolonyx), etc.”

2) Great Soviet Encyclopedia, 1969-1978

“Morion (German Morion, from Latin mormorion - dark-colored crystal)

a type of quartz, crystals colored in a dark smoky, almost black color. When heated to 250-300 ° C, it becomes discolored. Bleached M. is used in technology in a similar way to quartz crystals. M. is found in hydrothermal veins and nests in granitic pegmatites and greisen. There are deposits in the USSR (Urals, Ukraine, Transbaikalia, etc.) and abroad (Canada, USA, Brazil, Malagasy Republic, etc.).”

3) Samsonov Ya.P., Turinge A.P. “Gems of the USSR”, 1984

P.36

“smoky quartz (rauhotpaz) - smoky, transparent, grayish to deep brown, morion - black semi- or opaque.”

That is, morion is black, opaque or translucent. (Translucent in translation from geological to Russian - translucent).

__________________________________________________________________________________________

Thus, the mineral that you purchased is morion in its pure form. As for the “glue” on some edges, as you put it, we’ll say right away that there is no glue on the crystal and there cannot be, and all the irregularities are residual traces from the rock. If you become more familiar with the extraction of Morion crystals, then You will understand why sometimes even after processing the crystals of this mineral, roughness, coating or a “shirt” from a particular rock from which the mined Morion crystal was cut may remain on some faces. All these subtleties are due to a number of complex physical and chemical reactions occurring at the junction of the crystals with the rock, which in turn is also influenced by the density of both components, namely the precious or semi-precious mineral and the rock in which it was formed and where it was mined.

Product prices

The cost of morion depends on the following factors:

  • varieties;
  • masses;
  • degree of transparency.

Morion ball

A 5mm cabochon can be purchased for $1, and a faceted crystal can be purchased for no more than $3 per carat.

The price of jewelry largely depends on the value of the setting. For example, a silver pendant costs $30 - $50.

Examples of prices in online stores:

  • cabochon (22 x 26 x 13 mm) - $10;
  • bracelet (beads diameter 10 mm) - $12;
  • ring (nickel silver) - $30;
  • pendant (druze) (4.5 x 3.5 cm) - $34;
  • pendant - $45;
  • beads (bead size 12, 10, 8 mm, bead length 50.7 cm) - $120;
  • crystal (13.4 x 5.2 x 5.1 cm) - $160;
  • intergrowth of crystals (10.4 x 9 x 6 cm) - $190;
  • earrings - $200;
  • ring (925 sterling silver) – $250.

Price

The cost of a crystal depends on the frame and color. Minerals processed in a special way are valued higher than natural stones because they acquire an unusual shade. If the stone is set in a platinum frame, then the price will be appropriate. Jewelry with morion can be purchased for several hundred rubles, or for several thousand.

When purchasing, keep in mind that jewelers do not always offer genuine stones. Despite the cheapness of the mineral, it is actively counterfeited using ordinary glass. In order not to make a mistake with your choice, jewelry should always be purchased from trusted suppliers.

How to wear and care properly

Caring for products with morion is not difficult. But there are important conditions that help preserve the pristine beauty of the stone.

  • It should be protected from direct sunlight: under their influence, the black crystal begins to fade.
  • He is also afraid of high temperatures.
  • Products with black quartz should not be kept in the same box with other jewelry. This can lead to disruption of the energy not only of Morion, but also of other inhabitants of your collection.
  • Cleaning the stone with abrasive agents is not recommended. It is better to use special “cosmetics” sold in jewelry stores. It allows you to clean not only the crystals, but also the gold or silver in which they are framed.

Morion looks very impressive. But you shouldn’t wear it all the time (this recommendation does not apply to magicians, sorcerers and fortune tellers).

History and legends about Morion

The stone got its name from the Greek word morysso - “blackening”. In Ancient Egypt, glass for the first sunglasses was made from gemstones. In the Middle Ages, alchemists used it to try to invent the philosopher's stone, which was supposed to turn any metal into gold.

In Rus', the first mentions of the gem are associated with the heavenly maiden Morena. According to legend, Morena was flattered by the gifts of Koshchei the Immortal and went with him to the underworld. One of the gifts was a ring with a morion, which, while worn, bestows eternal life.

The gem appeared in Russia in the 18th century; it was brought from a trip by Ekaterina Dashkova, the first director of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Morion gained popularity among jewelers in the 19th century. People who lost loved ones used stone jewelry to demonstrate their mourning.

How to recognize a fake

Morion jewelry
Natural morion stone is not at all difficult to find on sale. The price of such products is low. So, five-millimeter cabochons cost about one dollar apiece. Crystals that have been faceted are valued at two dollars per carat.

However, the cost of fakes made of plastic or glass is even lower. By passing off such counterfeits as genuine minerals, scammers are essentially making money out of thin air. The methods by which you can bring them to clean water are quite simple.

  1. Try scratching the product with a pin or needle. You cannot damage a natural crystal.
  2. Press the stone against your skin. The thermal conductivity of plastic and glass, unlike any rock, is very high. This means that a fake made from these materials will instantly heat up from the heat of your body.
  3. Study the product documentation in detail. Sometimes scammers, in order to avoid punishment for counterfeiting, write the name of the imitation stone in quotation marks on the packaging. In this case, the inspection authorities are told that they honestly warned the buyer that they were selling a dummy.

The problem with fakes is not only that you buy a piece of glass at the price of morion. Such imitations cannot boast of any magical and healing properties of the original. So a potential amulet should be purchased only in trusted stores with an impeccable reputation.

How to distinguish a fake?

There is a lot of natural stone. The price of crystal is low: 5 mm cabochons cost around $1 per piece, faceted stones can be bought for no more than $2 per 1 carat. To be 100% sure that it is Morion, contact a specialist. The buyer can distinguish from a fake made of glass or plastic by the following methods:

  1. A scratch mark will remain on the glass fake. There will be no scratches on natural stone.
  2. Find out by temperature. Touch it with your tongue: the mineral is cooler and harder to the touch than glass.
  3. A plastic fake is easy to expose:
  • scratching with a hot needle (shavings will remain);
  • there will be a burning smell from the fake.

Who is suitable according to the zodiac

Morion is a truly mysterious mineral. Astrologers still cannot come to a consensus on whether he is suitable for Leo. Some believe that the stone is useful for representatives of this zodiac sign to wear, as it develops their eloquence and leadership qualities. Others believe that the mineral can harm the signs of the element of Fire (Leo, Aries, Sagittarius) due to energetic incompatibility.

  • There is also no consensus on the effect of the magical properties of morion on Scorpio. Some believe that this mineral will help a person born under this constellation not to make mistakes and not to cause ill will and hostility in others. Others warn that the dark powers of the stone can be activated by interaction with the energy of Scorpio, who is prone to mysticism.
  • Most astrologers believe that Morion is ideal for Capricorn and helps achieve goals. But others believe that such a person should not wear this stone, but that it is better to use it as an interior decoration - then peace and tranquility will reign in the house.
  • There is also no consensus on the effect of the mineral on Libra and Cancer. It will help to avoid mistakes in decision making, but some astrologers warn that, on the contrary, the chosen options for solving problems can sometimes be incorrect.
  • Pisces will feel the help of the mineral in choosing the right behavior in various situations, and the people around them will treat them kindly.
  • Gemini will not succumb to deception and bad habits, and will be able to achieve material well-being.
  • Virgo will also gain financial well-being and become a successful person.
  • Aquarius will feel the help of Morion in discovering talents and getting rid of unpleasant thoughts.
  • Taurus will be able to get rid of obsessive thoughts, formulate life goals for himself, and become more decisive.

All zodiac signs for which Morion is not contraindicated need a “clean” stone that has not been used in any rituals. But jewelry made from it should not be worn constantly.

Mineral Compatibility

Quartz stone is very self-sufficient and does not need the company of other stones. This applies to cases where crystals are used in jewelry. When working with black crystal, magicians and soothsayers often use rock crystal, which allows them to clarify the information raised from the bottom of the subconscious by the mysterious morion.

If a mineral used for magical practices has become too active, it can be balanced with a pink crystal. To do this, the minerals must be in close proximity to each other. Second option: one is clamped in the right hand, the other in the left.

Best time to buy

Pendulum from Morion
Not only energy compatibility is of key importance for a person, but also the time of purchase of the stone. To determine it, it is best to focus on the rhythms of the lunar month. It is worth buying a stone and connecting to it on days when the mineral has the weakest energy. For Morion this is the 5th lunar day.

It is on this day that you should take the crystal with the fingers of your left hand and say words that will determine your relationship with the mineral in the future. If you want the stone to help solve health problems, the phrase “I am the master, you are the healer” will be relevant. If you want morion to act as a talisman against the evil thoughts of others, then the best solution would be the words “I am the master, you are the protector.” The ritual is repeated for 14 days. Jewelry with black crystal is not worn at this time.

After two weeks (19th lunar day), the energy potential of Morion reaches its maximum value. At lunar noon, the stone is taken with the right hand and put on the body in any convenient way. The jewelry is for its intended purpose, the crystal is in a bag. This way the healing and magical properties of morion will reach their maximum, and it will serve its owner well.
